Also for the under 13 and above age groups the possibility of being picked for the Northern Youth Development League, 2 matches at Shildon and 2 at Middlesbrough.

Under 11 cross country

Hi all this coming Sunday will see the next NYSD cross country races  held at Croft near Darlington, races include an Under 11 race which is the first one at 11.00, a course map is available here http://www.nysd.org.uk/.

Please arrive at least an hour before to walk the course and pick up numbers, I will be there but acting as the starter.

If anyone is interested please speak to me, I will be at the meeting, but I will be the starter of the races!

2020 NYSD track and field meetings

Hi all, we should have been halfway through the local NYSD track and field Tuesday night meetings,  because of the national situation no meetings have been held so far.

Regrettably the NYSD, which I am the Track and Field secretary, have decided to cancel all this years meetings, so that when athletics restarts all clubs associated with the NYSD can concentrate on their own activities.

ALL GROUPS

Bluebeard is a group that belongs to Middlesbrough AC (Mandale).

We are a competing club and host home club meeting the Charles Stewart and are participants in the Lower Youth Development league, Upper Youth Development League and Senior leagues. A full list of local open matches and league national dates can be found in the competition page.

As a minimum we would like you to participate in the local open matches (mainly at weekends) and the North Yorkshire South Durham Harrier League (Tuesday nights), however the latter is only open to group members 10 years and above.

Sundays cross country 1st March

This Sunday's Cross Country at Croft, has been cancelled due to flooded parts of the course.

For all age groups, Sunday 19th NYSD cross country, first race 11.00am for Under 11s, at Ormesby Hall details on the competition page.

First cross country of the year

Held on the 18th of January at Ormesby Hall, the first race as normal under 11s at 11am, get their at least an hour before, parking is a problem and walk the course details available here

Great News

Some may know the name Malcolm Dewell, Malcolm Dewell has been a regular starter for the NYSD Track & Field meetings. Malcolm has been appointed Starter for the 2020 Glasgow International Grand Prix on February 15th.

Other appointments for officials, at the 2020 English Athletic U20/U17 & U15 Championships in Sheffield, Richard Day, Sharon Croft and Marino have been appointed in ancillary roles as Athlete Stewards.

December cross country

The NYSD cross country meeting scheduled to be held in Hatlepool on the 8th of December has been moved to Middlesbrough at Acklam, course details will be published when available.

Ines Blackwell

Well done at Fox Rush, an improvement on placing in her last year as an U11. This is her first month in the Mon/Wed group, and doubles her group points by way of her away events and pbs, and also tops the groups overall points so far this month.

Fox Rush NYSD cross country

Under 11s race is at 11.00am, get on the course at least 1 hour before to walk the course, parking is only in the designated areas. Details are on the competition page, see you at the start, then off for an ice cream after.
