December cross country

The NYSD cross country meeting scheduled to be held in Hatlepool on the 8th of December has been moved to Middlesbrough at Acklam, course details will be published when available.

Fox Rush NYSD cross country

Under 11s race is at 11.00am, get on the course at least 1 hour before to walk the course, parking is only in the designated areas. Details are on the competition page, see you at the start, then off for an ice cream after.

Preston Park NYSD cross Country

Well done to group members who took part at Preston park on Sunday morning, from the Tuesday group members Ines Blackwell and William Horloc and from the Monday/Wednesday Raphael Tatham, Lucien Tatham, Ruben Tatham, and Thomas Wilson who all get points added to their overall points total.

Cross Country

Well done to Ines Blackwell and William Horlock on there first runs of the year in the U11 NYSD cross country at Thirsk, the next one is on 14th at the Acklam Acorn Centre, details will be posted later to the date on the competition page.

Sunday Cross Country

Be prepared if coming it’s going to be a wet day, but don't make that put you off, you have to experience a rainy meeting its all character building and next time you enter an athletics meeting you’ll have that knowledge under your belt.

NYSD competition night

Well done to all group members that turned out to compete at the 2nd NYSD match at Middlesbrough sports village.

Tuesday group

No session next week 1st May, but still come along and watch athletes on Tuesday evening, its a competition night for the local athletics league from 6pm. Next session will be 8th May.

This Tuesday sees the first of the NYSD track and field meetings at Darlington, full details can be found on the NYSD website http://www.nysd.org.uk/ also under the competition tab above, only year 5 and above can compete. Both myself and Kate will be there but we will both be working in official capacities Kate as meeting recorder and myself as a field official.

Competition planning

To all groups members trained by the Bluebeard coaching team, all are expected to enter events when they can, detailed in the competition calendar.

Middlesbrough AC (Mandale) is a competing club and has athletes entered regularly in the national youth development leagues, that is for under 13 upwards, under 11s have the Fantastic Four and the Quad kids meeting at Gateshead plus other open competitions which are noted in the competition list. The NYSD meetings coming up are for Year 5 and upwards details again in the competition area.

Please note this year to help with the running of the 6 meetings it would be advantageous that athletes preregister events, this will make it easier in seeding athletes and have field cards ready, also athletes information is correct before publishing results.
